Long Meg stone circle, United Kingdom, Western Europe

A stone circle near Castlerigg. There are carvings of spirals in the stones. It is supposed to have been built by Bronze Age Pre-Celts or Ancient Celts. A local legend says a wizard turned a coven of witches into stones. A wall of piled stones is nearby. Similar to sites in the Americas and New Zealand.
