Burg Lichtenfels (Ottenstein), Austria, Western Europe

minor traces of older rock cut basis on which the mediaeval fort was built

all details in the video below minor traces of older rock cut ruins. just by themselves they mean almost nothing, but since at at least 1 other place nearby (listed on the megaliths website) they were clearly recognisable, it just shows that it is not an isolated example. probably there are dozens of such sites all over austria

Local Name: Ruine Lichtenfels
Address: Die Burg Lichtenfels ist die Ruine einer Höhenburg bei Peygarten-Ottenstein im Waldviertel, Niederösterreich, zur Stadt Zwettl-Niederösterreich gehörend.
This site belongs to the following categories: "Elf" Castle (not necessarily related to elfs as such, but exactly as in the fairy tales these are complexes of rock edifices on the tops of hills with fantastic views)
