Mount Huashan Cliffside Path, China, East Asia

  network of wooden boards running alongside the 2,160-meter (7,000ft) holy mountain in Shaanxi province, certainly one of the most dangerous in the world

According to UNESCO, the area contains more than 300 stone tablets and 570 spiritual rock inscriptions, some dating as far back as 1,000 years ago. Allegedly the path was orogonally built by ancient monks.

Address: The closest train station to Hua Shan is Hua Shan North Train Station (华山火车北站, Hua Shan Huoche Bei Zhan). There are lots of trains from Luoyang (Henan Province), Zhengzhou (Henan Province), Datong (Shanxi Province), Xi’an (Shaanxi Province). Even a fast train Beijing-Xi’an stops here.
